Family Details Parfait is a good-natured boy who lives with his parents and 4 brothers. His parents are survivors of the 1994 genocide and were left as orphans, having lost their parents and almost all of their siblings. Parfait’s family is very poor - his dad works cutting lawns, when work is available, and his mom cleans at a local school, but only receives $30/month. It leaves Parfait's parents struggling to provide even basic needs of food, clothes, health insurance, and school fees for their family.
